As an interviewer, I often come across candidates who easily answer questions about the company and role, but when I ask why I should hire them, many struggles to come up with a strong answer. Essentially, this question is a great way to dig into what your candidate’s core values are, what motivates them and how they convey their passion.

You have found a job you think you could do well at, with confidence that you can do the job. But it’s best to do some research first because you might find that you’re overqualified for the job, or there are other reasons why you should not apply.
